Punch Mitts

When learning how to box, it's important to balance your training. Sparring is great training, but can only be done in limited amounts, for fear of injury or over-training. On the opposite end, if you spend all your time dueling with your punching bag, you'll be at a disadvantage when swinging at something that punches back. That's why it's great to have a coach or training partner who can help you with punching mitts.

The Great Middle Ground
Using punching mitts is the best way to learn how to maneuver in the ring. You wear your boxing gloves, and your partner wears the mitts. You swing at him, and he catches all of your punches on the padded face of the punching mitts. Then, you are both free to move around the ring.

Since practicing with punching mitts spares you both the trauma of head shots, you'll find that it's a great training routine. You get practice swinging at something that moves and thinks, but that doesn't swing back at you. This is great for learning how to balance yourself, how to coordinate your body movements with your punches, and how to navigate the four corners of the ring.

Although you're investing in something that you're going to spend a whole lot of time hitting, that doesn't mean that you need to spend a whole lot on it. At the same time, of course, you don't want to buy something that's just going to fall apart. Boxing Setup finds the perfect balance for you, by offering top-of-the line Everlast punching mitts, available at the best prices anywhere.
